Hooey

Picture
Hooey is a rough dog that likes to get ahead! He's a bigger boned, strong dog that rarely gets hurt but is constantly aggressive with cows. Whether its a fighting pair or a cow trying to run, he's always there to bite a nose or heel. He'll get rolled several times each gather and always gets right back up for more. He doesn't have quite the finesse some our other dogs have but he has much more aggression. He's a Mud Kat X Pink Southern Belle. We've have several litters of pups out of him and they're proving to be good, working dogs.
DOB 3/16/2012

Hooey 'gettin ahead' and stopping the same cow several times. She didn't want to go in the pen, at first.

Hooey's trip to the vet's office May 2015!
This is Dr. Jake Sexton pulling a 10 1/2" stick out of Hooey. He was running to 'get ahead' of the herd to stop them when he tripped and rolled. After he tripped he then got rolled by a cow, but he got up and kept running so I thought everything was fine. Once the herd was penned I checked Hooey to make sure he was ok and seen, what looked like a rib, to be broke and turned the wrong direction but all still under the skin. Once the vet seen him at Dake Vet Clinic, he realized it was probably a stick that punctured him and sure enough we found the hole the stick had made in Hooey's arm pit. The length of the stick ran the length from Hooey's arm pit to the point of his hip. Hooey had time off to recover and is back gathering cattle and is still aggressive as ever.
