Gathering
This video shows the level of control the dogs have over the herd by themselves and shows they are familiar with the field and gathering out of it. Toward the end of the video it shows a group of heifers standing on the other side of the fence right beside the herd we were currently gathering. The dogs have gathered multiple herds out of this field and understand they are not to gather on the other side of a fence unless sent. |

This video shows us fetching heifers. There are several obstacles towards the end the dogs have to go around and at the end the heifers are on two sides of the fence. The dogs clearly know where we're taking the heifers or they wouldn't have been able to gather them that way without much guidance. The dogs handle the heifers calmly and only bite when needed. |
We use our dogs in a variety of ways; below Trevon is using the dogs to 'fetch' the herd. Using dogs to fetch mainly requires you to stand where you need the dogs to bring the cows to. Fetching comes in handy for many people who don't use horses to gather their cows.
This video is of Tiger, Piper, Sam, Sage, and Possum. We had to gather these heifers into the portable corral to complete the next step of our A.I. protocol. It was a cold day and we didn't want to take the time to get the horses. It sure is handy when you can use the dogs to fetch a herd when u need them.
